Part 5: humanity has won and destroyed nature to build a bleak industrial world. Part 4: we are finally out in nature, signified by the happy beat and the chanting Part 3: the female singer in this part represents Mother Nature while the male voices represent activists. Part 2: this part is sad, possibly a eulogy for nature as it has been polluted by humans This could represent pointless warring of humanity and how it has a negative impact on nature Part 1: in this part the sounds of a battle can be heard. The heart in Atom Heart Mother could represent how nature loves all. It's pretty clear that this song has no real intended meaning to it but an interpretation that I've heard is that it represents the importance of nature, hence the cow and the title. The collage of sounds in the second half of the noise section could be the detective trying to link all of the clues found so far, finding discovering who the murderer is, with 'SILENCE IN THE STUDIO!' and the following section Remergence being the detective finally bringing the murderer to justice and the story ending. The choir section could be symbolizing a funeral procession, with the chants it morphs into possibly being a meeting at a church. The section leading up to the choir's introduction could be the search for clues. I interpret the beginning to be a murder of someone, with the horse and motorcycle signaling the murderer's escape from a detective.
